What is a Position Paper?

The position paper is a document in which each delegate expresses their country's position in relation to the topic debated in the committee; it must also offer new solutions. 

How to write a Position Paper?

Heading

      -Committee 

      -Country 

      -Topic 

      -Name (Delegate's complete name)

      -School (School the delegate attends)

      *The flag or symbols of the country are optional

Body

      A position paper is divided into four paragraphs:

     1: Brief description of the situation

      In this paragraph, you should provide an overview of the topic.

     2: Relationship between the country and topic

      In this paragraph, you should explain how the topic affects your country. 

     3: Possible solutions

      In this paragraph, you should write at least three relevant solutions. 

     4: Conclusion

      In this last paragraph, you should restate your delegation's position and solutions.
